Why do we celebrate Christmas Day

Why do we celebrate Christmas Day ?

The festival of Christmas Day is celebrated every year on 25 December with great joy in all the countries, to say that Christmas Day is only on 25 December, but its glory is visible in the markets throughout the month.

People of all religions and castes celebrate Christmas Day, but most people do not know why Christmas Day is celebrated.

Christmas Day is celebrated in the memory of Lord Jesus Christ, it is believed that 25 December was the birthday of Lord Jesus Christ. But no firm evidence has been found of this date.

Christmas Day has been celebrated since the 4th century. Actually, non-Christians of Rome used to celebrate their own festival on 25 December. In which non-Christians used to worship the Sun, they believed that after disappearing for a long time in winter, the Sun starts returning again on 25 December.

After some time this festival of non-christians was also adopted by the religious leaders of the Christian people and named this festival as Christmas Day, since then, on 25 December, Christmas Day is celebrated with great pomp in the country and abroad.
